Affirmations with yoga

Affirmations whilst practicing yoga can really help you to feel uplifted and positive and also help keep your mind from wandering (mine has an annoying habit of doing this)!

I shuffle the Louise Hay affirmation cards and pick one at random, it is always something relevant and something I need to address or focus on.

I then place the card on my mat in front of me and throughout my practice I come back to it - breathing the words in and out.

Sometimes, if it is regarding something that I have been ignoring or burying inside myself, tears and emotions can come up at the end of class and I walk out feeling a tonne lighter!
Or if it's just a great reminder to have gratitude for something in my life already (or something I wish to manifest) it's a really great focus and my class feels like a moving meditation.
